Superfood Smoothie

Hey hey!

 

Today I just wanted to share the recipe for my current favourite smoothie combo. And yes I actually made a note of the measurements so I can share it! It’s full of amazing goodness and tastes so yummy and fresh.

 

A few little facts about some of the ingredients in this smoothie:

Turmeric is an awesome little spice that is great for liver function, digestion, anti-inflammatory, and is anti-carcinogenic.

The lemon and ginger in this smoothie are also great for digestion, liver detoxification and giving the smoothie a bit of zing!

Hemp hearts and LSA provide a nice balance of your good fats, fibre as well as other essential vitamins such as magnesium and vitamin E.

 

Superfood Smoothie Recipe:

Serves 2

1 tsp turmeric

1 tbsp hemp hearts

1 tbsp LSA

1 or 2 slices of fresh ginger

1 whole lemon peeled

1 frozen banana

1 slice of frozen pineapple

2 big handfuls of spinach

Water from 1 fresh coconut (or 1 330ml of C Coconut water)

 

Blend and serve! 🙂

* NOTE: You cannot taste the turmeric so please just give it a try 🙂
